Blog #03

Well the elders say, "In the end, the deeds you did in your entire life, will decide your fate". I believe this is just some old-age bullshit crap. In today's world, nobody cares about what you do, or what you mean, the only thing that matters is how much of an advantage you are to them. Its like every human has got his own "Quality Quotient". Well, personally I don't think we are actually heading in the right direction with this. Gone are the days when brains mattered, sense mattered. Its basically fairy dust now, it just doesn't exist. The only thing everyone is concerned about is themselves, what "I" feel, what "I" want. Its like selflessness only exists in the Sooraj Barjatya movies and the K Company soaps (I hope you get that). On a daily basis we follow and judge on the principles of materialism. Money, fame, power-the more the merrier and virtues and values... who gives a damn about them. They say we have developed, I prefer to say that we just lost our route towards the "better" future a long time ago.
The most you can expect from this society is hope, a hope that it rewinds itself in the evolution cycle back to an era where the deeds you do actually mattered.

Well, it seems a pretty odd what I am supposed to encounter day in, day out. It is so surprising to see that the world perceives us literally as multi-taskers. The psychological experts believe that the human mind though capable of practically doing anything ("Lucy" did provide us a fitting reply, though the end probably could have been better), but it is advisable to keep the brain on one task to make the most of it. This is what Moral Science, Personality Development and the Student Training Sessions taught us. They say 'Keep the brain free from other random thoughts to get the best results possible' . And surely it does make sense. Well coming back to the point, we, are supposed to prepare ourselves for our future, handle the working of college festivals, keep the body rocking fit, make time for the loved ones and yes last but not the least, actually the most important, study. It simply just doesn't make any sense. Parents want to us to get good marks to get a good job to settle down, teachers want us to revolutionize the current trends to create amazing innovations, girlfriends expect their boyfriends to keep them happy, Bollywood forces him to work for his own dream and sadly all this leaves the person, kind of, in a mess. All this seems so illogical...

Prologue

Well this started of as an interest in writing... But soon it turned out to be a thing that kinda hit me... Well when you can think different, why not show people what you think. Welcome to "The Life Of A Engineer". Don't confuse it with "The Life Of An Engineer" because of all the professions in this world, the most versatile is the profession of an engineer. I chose this title because 'An' would refer to an everyday engineer, but I went against the English Grammar rules (my grammar teacher is going to kill me if she sees this, also "An Engineer" is too mainstream) to choose this title. "The Life Of A Engineer" refers to the extraordinary steps that this extraordinary people undertake in their everyday life, their stupid thoughts, meaningless proofs and their undeniably incredible journey of life. Lets get it started...
